Giving back during the holiday season is not a new phenomenon. However, this age-old tradition has really seen a comeback with the #GivingTuesday campaign. This campaign is a nationwide initiative in which people are encouraged to donate to charities of their choice. This year’s campaign takes place on December 2nd. Today and throughout the holiday season that we are reminded how fortunate we are and that there are people all around us that can use our help. This year we ask that you consider making the Mental Health Association of South Central Kansas your non-profit organization of choice. Ways that you can help:
Donate- Your donations will be used to further our mission to empower and assist youth, families and adults in our community to achieve optimal mental health and wellness through education, advocacy, and service.
Adopt -a-Bell- Adopt an adult who will not otherwise have a Christmas gift to open this holiday season.
Toy Drive- Donate toys to the annual toy drive, which can be dropped off at Visual Fusion at 623 West Douglas.
Food Drive- Help us provide holiday meals to children and families in need in our community. We are asking for the ingredients to make a traditional holiday meal: green beans, cream of mushroom soup, stuffing, instant potatoes, gravy packets, desserts and gift certificates to purchase a turkey or ham. Donations can be dropped off at any MHA location.
