Mid Kansas Senior Outreach Program

Mid Kansas Senior Outreach is a community Gatekeeper program designed to identify and make contact with isolated at-risk seniors living in Sedgwick County who are experiencing difficulties that threaten their ability to live independently with safety and wellness.

The goals of the program are to:

  1. Identify and provide services to at risk or isolated adults age 55 and older who are in need of assistance.
  2. Recruit and train community gatekeepers who will reach out to at-risk seniors and refer them to the United Way 211 Call Center.
  3. Provide wrap-around support services including in-home mental health counseling.
