Mid Kansas Senior Outreach Program
Mid Kansas Senior Outreach is a community Gatekeeper program designed to identify and make contact with isolated at-risk seniors living in Sedgwick County who are experiencing difficulties that threaten their ability to live independently with safety and wellness.
The goals of the program are to:
- Identify and provide services to at risk or isolated adults age 55 and older who are in need of assistance.
- Recruit and train community gatekeepers who will reach out to at-risk seniors and refer them to the United Way 211 Call Center.
- Provide wrap-around support services including in-home mental health counseling.
