Youth Empowerment Implementation Project
The Youth Empowerment Implementation Project (YEIP), a partnership between Wichita State University, the Mental Health Association of South Central Kansas, and four local community organizations, provides early prevention and intervention services for at-risk youth and their families who reside in the northeast sector of Wichita. YEIP promotes academic and cultural enrichments, increase life skills (i.e., reduce substance abuse, social and emotional development, and resist gang involvement), enhance career development, reduce risky behaviors, and promote a physical healthy lifestyle.
