The cosmic theme is to remind us of what Carl Sagan said, "The cosmos is within us. We are made of star-stuff". I wanted to address the stigma of people living with mental disorders and psychiatric diagnosis, that struggle both internally and externally to be accepted and integrated into our communities.  Many people not only have to cope with the debilitating effects of the disorder, but also suffer from social exclusion and prejudices. The most helpful approach to overcome prejudices and stigma is through compassion gaining an understanding of the person and what has happened in their lives, and spending time getting to know the person behind the disorder. 

 

We are not alone in the stars but all together as we are all made of the same cosmic dust.
