About the event

Mental Health Emergencies can happen anytime and anywhere.  Mental Health Emergencies can be a result of a disruptions with treatment, medication, substance abuse, or unpredictable internal and external stimuli.

Join Michael Brewer, LCMFT LCAC, to gain a general overview of behaviors and mental health diagnosis connected to mental health emergencies.  Participants will have the opportunity to expand their baseline knowledge of how to assess and intervene a mental health emergency as well as future steps to support the client and their families.

Learning Objectives

  • Gain a general understanding of the country’s current state of mental Health and services.
  • Identify behaviors, diagnostic criteria, signs and symptoms of potential risks and mental health emergencies.
  • Explore possible assessment questions and treatment options for individuals experiencing a mental health crisis.

MHASCK is an approved provider of continuing education by the Kansas State Board of Nursing. This course offering is approved for 1.5 contact hours applicable for RN, LPN, or LMHT re-licensure. Kansas State Board of Nursing Provider #LT 0105- 0127. Each program listed specifies the number of contact hours of credit provided. Each session must be attended in its entirety to receive credit. Partial credit will not be granted. No refunds given for cancellations unless due to minimum/maximum regulations.

MHASCK is an approved provider of continuing education by the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board. MHASCK presents this offering for a maximum of 1.5 hour credit applicable for re-licensure of LASWSs, LBSWs, LMSWs and LSCSWs. Kansas Provider Number 15-006.
