Kansas Health Foundation- This past spring, MHA was a recipient of a Kansas Health Foundation Recognition grant. The grant award, $25,000, will support the continued activities of the Boys2Men program. Boys2Men is a gender specific prevention program focusing on issues that are relevant to young men at higher risk for juvenile delinquency and truancy. Youth between the ages of 12-18 at risk for juvenile delinquency and truancy attend 12 – 15 prevention/intervention group sessions. These sessions include community service activities, access to job preparation and college exposure activities, connection with college preparation programs, referrals to mentoring organizations, and other services as needed.
