Shared Housing
MHA Group Homes are supportive living facilities licensed through the State of Kansas and accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities. MHA Group Homes provide a positive personal development experience for those individuals recovering from mental illness, to help each person live successfully in the community. Our staff initiates personalized plans with each resident addressing their needs. The resident's need and willingness to participate in the program determine length of stay.
Group Home/Shared Housing Criteria

Typical stay up to a year

Must have case mgt. at MHA or Comcare

Must be SPMI (severe and persistent mental illness)

Must have active Medicaid

Must have steady income sources to pay monthly Rescare Fee and Rent

Rescare Fee is income based at 45% of income Rent is income based at 30% of income

Cannot be actively using drugs

Mental health symptoms must be able to be controlled in setting, no significant ongoing self-harming behaviors.

Must be able to attend to personal self-care. NO 1:1personal direct care provided (ie. bathing, dressing).

Cannot be a registered offender

Must meet medical necessity for group home, cannot just need housing, must not be able to live independently due to mental health
